Types of Messages We Send

Artic Mini Splits sends the following categories of SMS/MMS messages:

  • Appointment Confirmations & Reminders: Confirmation of your scheduled installation date, time, and technician details. Reminder messages 24 hours before your appointment.
  • Quote & Order Updates: Notifications when your quote is ready, when an order has been placed, and when equipment has shipped or is ready for pickup.
  • Service Notifications: Day-of updates from your technician, including estimated arrival time or any scheduling changes.
  • Promotional Messages: Seasonal promotions, limited-time pricing, and special offers on mini split units and installation packages. (Only with your explicit marketing opt-in.)
  • Follow-Up & Satisfaction: Post-installation check-in messages to ensure you're satisfied with our service.

03 — Frequency

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your engagement with our services:

  • Transactional messages are sent as needed in connection with your specific order or appointment — typically 2–5 messages per service interaction.
  • Promotional messages are sent no more than 4 times per month to opted-in subscribers.

📱 Message frequency may vary. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of SMS messages from Artic Mini Splits at any time using any of the following methods:

  • Reply STOP to any text message you receive from us. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.
  • Call us at (469) 637-4051 and request to be removed from our text messaging list.
  • Email or contact us through our website at articminisplits.com/contact.html and request removal.

⚠️ Opting out of marketing SMS will not prevent transactional messages (e.g., appointment confirmations) if you have an active service scheduled. To opt out of all messages, please contact us directly.

After opting out, you may re-subscribe at any time by texting START or YES to our number, or by opting in again through our website forms.

06 — Costs

Costs & Carrier Information

Message and data rates may apply. Standard SMS and data rates charged by your mobile carrier will apply to messages you send and receive. Artic Mini Splits does not charge any fee for SMS communications.

Check with your mobile carrier for details on your plan's SMS and data rates. Common carriers that support our messaging program include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, and others.

📶 Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If you are not receiving messages, check with your carrier that short code or long code messaging is enabled on your account.

Our SMS program is not available to landlines or VOIP numbers. If you provide a non-mobile number, you may not receive messages.

07 — Privacy

Privacy & Your Information

Your mobile phone number and SMS consent status are treated with care:

  • Your phone number will only be used to send you messages as described in these SMS Terms.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third-party marketers.
  • Your opt-in/opt-out status is recorded and honored immediately.
  • We may share your number with our SMS platform provider (e.g., Twilio or similar) solely for the purpose of message delivery. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.

08 — Compliance

TCPA & Regulatory Compliance

Our SMS program is designed to comply with applicable laws and industry guidelines, including:

  • Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA): We obtain prior express written consent before sending marketing text messages to your mobile device.
  • CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices: We follow guidelines published by the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) for responsible business texting.
  • 10DLC Registration: Our business phone number is registered under the 10-digit long code (10DLC) system with major U.S. carriers to ensure deliverability and compliance.
  • CAN-SPAM Act: Where applicable, our communications comply with federal email and electronic messaging regulations.

If you believe you have received a text message from us in error, or without having given consent, please contact us immediately at (469) 637-4051 so we can investigate and correct the issue.

09 — Liability

Limitation of Liability

Artic Mini Splits is not responsible for any delays or failures in the receipt of any SMS messages as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator. SMS message services are provided on an "as is" basis.

We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the SMS program and expressly disclaim any implied warranties, including without limitation, warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Artic Mini Splits shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the SMS messaging program.

These SMS Terms are subject to our General Terms & Conditions, which are incorporated herein by reference.
